Terms of Service
Last updated: July 5, 2026
Welcome to Omfie. These terms are a plain-English agreement between you and Omfie (“we,” “us”). By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Omfie.
1. Who can use Omfie
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital-consent age where you live, if higher) to create an account. If you use Omfie on behalf of a community or organization, you confirm you’re allowed to act for it.
2. Your account
You’re responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your password safe. Give us accurate information and keep it current. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use. One person, one account — don’t impersonate anyone.
3. Hosting events & communities
As an organizer you’re responsible for the events you publish: that the details are accurate, that you have the right to host at your venue, and that the event itself is lawful and safe. Omfie is a tool for organizing and check-in — we don’t run your events, vet your attendees, or take responsibility for what happens at them.
You may grant per-event check-in staff and co-organizers. You’re responsible for who you give that access to.
4. Acceptable use
Don’t use Omfie to:
- break the law, or promote or organize anything illegal;
- harass, threaten, defame, or discriminate against anyone, or post hateful or violent content;
- spam, scam, phish, or mislead people about who you are or what an event is;
- upload content you don’t have the rights to, or that infringes someone else’s copyright or trademark;
- scrape, probe, overload, or try to break the platform’s security, or access data that isn’t yours;
- post malware, or attempt to reverse-engineer the service.
5. Ratings & reviews
Ratings and reviews should reflect genuine, first-hand experience at an event you actually attended. Don’t post fake reviews, review your own events, or coordinate rating manipulation. Organizers can hide review comments on their events, and Omfie may hide or remove content that’s reported or that breaks these terms. Star scores are kept even when a comment is hidden, unless the whole rating is removed by an Omfie administrator.
6. Your content
You keep ownership of the content you post — event descriptions, images, community pages, reviews. By posting it, you give Omfie a non-exclusive license to store, display, and distribute that content as needed to run the service (for example, showing your event page to the people you share it with). You’re responsible for the content you post and confirm you have the rights to it.
7. Moderation & termination
We may remove content, suspend, or terminate accounts that break these terms or put others at risk. You can delete your account at any time. Some records tied to events you attended or hosted may be retained by organizers or for legitimate business and legal reasons after your account is gone (see the Privacy Policy).
8. Payments
Omfie is currently free to use. If we later add paid tickets, the specific payment terms (including any platform fee and the third-party payment processor’s terms) will be presented before you enable or use them.
9. Service “as is”
Omfie is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. We work to keep it running and secure, but we don’t promise it will always be available, error-free, or that it will meet every need. To the fullest extent the law allows, Omfie isn’t liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for what happens at events organized through the platform.
10. Changes
We may update these terms as Omfie grows. If we make material changes, we’ll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continuing to use Omfie after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
